2008 Toro Loco Shiraz
Barossa Valley Shiraz that is as big and bold as you could ever want a wine from the Barossa to be. Literally black as the ace of spades it is full to the brim with lashings of blackberry fruit with a little spice in the background. Mouthfilling and generous it is made for sipping on a cool winter’s night or enjoyed over a well barbequed steak. And to top it all off James Halliday gave this wine (under it's normal label) a 90 point rating and calls its maker an “Outstanding winery regularly producing wines of exemplary quality”. Right on James.
A strong and really smooth red.I really like this shiraz. I normally don't like really big, full on red wines, but we had some with some T-Bone steaks and baked potato and it went really well with that. Hubby was a huge fan.
Very nice bouquet and taste!Had this with pasta the other night and it exceeded all expectations. A very nice wine at an excellent price!
Strong for a shiraz. This is a very strong shiraz, being smooth, tasty and not too dry. Great served with Italian dishes and beef. The bottle didn't last long with us!
A very bold and gutsy shirazVery gutsy this red is not for the light hearted but definitely good on a cold winters night with a thick piece of steak!
